Lego Club

Excitement is building at Carman Elementary School for our new LEGO club. Over 100 students from Grades 1-3 have signed up to participate in the LEGO club, which has grown to 3 days a week during the lunch break. Five teachers have volunteered their time to supervise the children, who spend the lunch break happily building and imagining together. LEGO club provides and opportunity for students to have unstructured, self-directed play time. Many children welcome the chance for quiet, imaginative play. To support the club, the school purchased 6 LEGO Creator sets (10704). On Thursday, one of the teachers asked a student, “How’s it going?” and the student’s reply (without looking up) was: “Good. Very, very good.”
